Moaning. Panting. Touching. Heavy Breathing. In relationships across the globe, whispering dirty, sweet nothings into a telephone is not a new phenomenon. To many, phone sex is either a hit or a miss. It’s either something that gives you an orgasm, or something that is discarded and thrown under your mattress next to your stack of dirty magazines. Cheating Scenario 1: Your boyfriend is at a party and is flirtatiously talking to an unknown male/female. They talk the whole time while laughing, smiling and sharing a few drinks. They leave on their own without exchanging phone numbers. They Facebook each other and write back and fourth, still on friendly terms. Is this cheating?

She tells you, but explains that it’s friends only. They talk on the phone and plan on hanging out sometime soon. They hang out a few times alone. The last time they hung out, he/she kissed her, but she didn’t “kiss them back”. Is this cheating?

This is precisely why I was so thrilled to get the chance to see him live last weekend (6/6/08) at the Coolidge Corner Theater. For only $5, I sat three rows from the front, expecting to hear Black talk about his new book called Me of Little Faith, a rant in novel form about the problems, or better yet, Black’s problems with conventional religion.
