Urban Art Show — Legends of Style
A round brick room is covered with more than a hundred paintings and photographs draped along the walls. A series of paintings hang together while a small crowd gathers examining the dark brush strokes and the bizarre site of a black man in a Star Trek costume, holding a gun in the desert.
The painting to the right shows three black men. Two are wearing ski masks and the one centered has cheap gold medallions (or “bling”) hanging from his neck. They are all wearing 17th century European clothing and the audience looks puzzled. Read more »
After getting out from a late showing of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at the Regal Theater in Fenway, a large group of friends and myself decided to drop into Boston Beer Works for dinner. I greatly appreciated their late hours, as most restaurants around that area close too early for late movie goers.
