  • Christopher Bollen’s new book Lightning People is officially on our reading list. Yes, because it’s receiving such wonderful reviews and it’s so difficult to write a “good 9/11 book,” but also because Bollen seems incredibly badass. He says things like “I wanted…to reflect New York as it is, not some fantasy glossy version filled with endless shopping excursions, Champagne brunches, and the worst thing that could happen is sometimes you fall in love and you shed a few tears. To me, this immensely popular, utterly delusional version of New York is the real science fiction today. New York is hard, mean, ruthless and sometimes desperate, and the worst thing that could happen is you might become a demon.” Shhh. Don’t tell the fashion people. They’re still high from NYFW.
  • Refinery29’s flipbook for throwing a college party forgot the red cups and Poland Springs water bottles
  • J. Crew President and Creative Director Jenna Lyons lives in what is, quite possibly, the greatest home ever
  • If you feel like being sad, read this essay Michael Ian Black wrote. He wrote it in 2008. It’s still sad. Like, super sad.
  • THE PREMIERE OF WHITNEY IS THIS THURSDAY! Just kidding. That show looks awful. Just truly awful.
